Washington —
The teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals begin the final preparations for the tournament, with official delegations arriving at their accommodations, and several teams playing friendly matches to test their technical and physical readiness before the competitions begin.

The next edition of the World Cup will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, in the largest tournament in World Cup history in terms of the number of teams, matches, and host cities.

Despite the tri-nation hosting, the United States will be the main center of the tournament, hosting 11 American cities for the majority of the matches, including most of the advanced knockout stage encounters.

Canada and Mexico will participate in hosting several group stage matches and some later rounds, as part of an expanded edition reflecting the continental nature of the tournament in North America.

In the coming weeks, attention will turn to the training camps, potential injuries, and final rosters, as teams strive to reach the highest levels of readiness before the start of the world's most important football event.
