The Ukrainian authorities announced the discovery of the body of a woman who was internationally wanted on suspicion of involvement in a bombing that took place in the city of Monaco in late June, in a new development in a case that attracted wide attention due to its extension across several countries.

According to investigations, the woman, who was listed on Interpol's lists, was found with gunshot wounds to the head in an area near the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, days after an international warrant was issued against her on suspicion of participating in the attack.

The bombing targeted the entrance of a residential building in Monaco, injuring a prominent Ukrainian businessman, along with a woman and a child, while the authorities in Monaco launched a wide investigation that concluded with identifying the suspect and issuing an international arrest warrant against her.

In a notable development, the Ukrainian authorities announced the arrest of two people suspected of involvement in the woman's murder, one of whom is a member of the Ukrainian military intelligence, and the other a former official in law enforcement agencies. Initial data indicate that one of the detainees admitted to carrying out the killing, claiming he acted on his own and without orders from his leadership.

Investigators also revealed the existence of financial transfers and cryptocurrencies between the suspect and the detainees, as part of an investigation seeking to determine the nature of the relationship between them and the possible motives behind the crime, in addition to uncovering the circumstances of the bombing that took place in Monaco.

The authorities in Ukraine and Monaco continue to coordinate investigations, in an attempt to understand the links between the bombing and the suspect's murder, and to determine whether the two incidents are part of an organized criminal scheme extending across more than one country.
