Mississauga —
Peel Police announced the recovery of stolen property valued at approximately one million dollars, after arresting a suspect attempting to break into the Holt Renfrew store in Mississauga.

The police said their officers responded to a report of a break-in attempt, before finding and arresting a suspect at the scene.

During the investigation, information gathered by the police led to the seizure of a large quantity of stolen property, including luxury goods and other items believed to be linked to previous thefts.

The total value of the recovered property is estimated at about one million dollars, in one of the prominent cases related to retail store thefts and high-value goods in the area.

The police have laid charges against the suspect, while the investigation continues to determine if other parties are involved or if there is a connection to other theft incidents.

The case comes amid rising concerns about organized retail theft, especially those targeting luxury stores and high-value goods, as the police work to track the networks behind the resale or transfer of these goods to other markets.

Peel Police urged anyone with additional information about the case to contact the investigators.
