Teen's body found in northern Saskatchewan, Ontario; police consider death a homicide
The victim had been missing since last year, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of his death.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed that the body of a teenager from Ontario found in northern Saskatchewan belongs to a young man who had been missing since last year, indicating that his death is now being treated as a homicide.
The police said the remains were found during a planned search operation in an area near Pelican Narrows, before medical examinations confirmed the victim's identity.
The teenager, aged 16 and from Brampton, Ontario, had lost contact in May 2025 while he was in the Pelican Narrows area.
The Saskatchewan Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation after considering the circumstances of his disappearance and death suspicious.
The police have not yet announced any arrests or suspects, nor have they disclosed additional details about the cause of death or the circumstances leading to it.
The authorities called on anyone with information about the case to contact investigators or submit an anonymous report through “Crime Stoppers.”
The case comes amid great sorrow for the victim’s family, who were officially informed of the identification results, while the police continue to gather evidence to determine what happened during the period between his disappearance and the discovery of his remains.
