Hamilton —
The Canadian Federal Police announced the dismantling of a large drug trafficking and money laundering network whose activities extended between the Greater Toronto Area and Quebec, after an 18-month investigation led by the Serious and Organized Crime Unit in Hamilton-Niagara.

The police, in cooperation with several security agencies, executed more than 30 search warrants at various locations, resulting in the seizure of 153 kilograms of cocaine, 10 kilograms of heroin, half a kilogram of ketamine, in addition to about 1.6 million Canadian dollars in cash, a prohibited firearm, and a vehicle.

The police estimated the total value of the seized drugs at more than 4.4 million dollars, in an operation described as complex and wide-ranging aimed at disrupting the flow of illegal drugs in Ontario and Quebec.

The investigation led to the arrest of six individuals from Ontario and Quebec, facing seven criminal charges related to drug trafficking and possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking, in addition to a charge related to possession of property obtained from crime.

The police also announced that another person is still wanted, and an arrest warrant has been issued against him on drug-related charges.

Participating in the operation, alongside the Federal Police, were the Ontario Provincial Police, Toronto Police, York Police, Peel Police, Quebec Police, Montreal Police, and the Canada Border Services Agency.

The police said the investigation sends a clear message to organized crime networks that those involved in drug trafficking and money laundering will be pursued and held accountable.
