Breaking: 20 killed and injured in a shooting incident near Johannesburg
Police are investigating an attack carried out by unknown gunmen in a town southwest of the city

At least ten people were killed and ten others injured in a shooting incident that took place in a town near Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city and economic center, according to local police.
The police stated, in a statement reported by local media, that some of the victims were subjected to random gunfire in the street by unknown armed assailants, with the motives for the attack still unknown.
Meanwhile, SABC News reported that the police are investigating an incident that occurred in the town of Bekkersdal, located about 40 kilometers southwest of Johannesburg, noting that the death toll may have reached nine people according to preliminary figures, in addition to ten injured.
Authorities confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to determine the circumstances of the attack and the identities of those involved, while no information has yet been announced about the arrest of suspects.
