Algeria turns its deficit against Jordan into a valuable victory in the World Cup
The Desert Warriors come from behind and settle the match with two goals to one to strengthen their hopes of qualifying.

The Algerian national team achieved an exciting victory over its Jordanian counterpart with a score of 2-1, in a strong Arab confrontation hosted by Levi's Stadium in California as part of the 2026 World Cup competitions.
The first half witnessed Jordanian superiority in terms of the score, after Nizar Al-Rashdan succeeded in opening the scoring at the 36th minute following an organized attack finished with a powerful shot inside the penalty area after a precise pass from Mousa Al-Tamari, ending the first half with "Al-Nashama" leading by one goal to none.
In the second half, the Algerian team increased the pace of its attacks and offensive pressure seeking a comeback, and succeeded in equalizing at the 69th minute through Nadhir Ben Bouali who capitalized on a corner kick and converted it with a strong header into the net.
The "Desert Warriors" continued their pressure after the equalizing goal, before Amin Gueri was able to score the winning goal in the 82nd minute following a successful follow-up inside the penalty area, giving his country a valuable lead at a crucial time.
The Jordanian team tried to come back during the final minutes and almost snatched the equalizing goal on several occasions, but the Algerian defense and goalkeeper Luca Zidane succeeded in maintaining the lead until the final whistle.
With this victory, the Algerian national team earned three valuable points that strengthened its position in the group and kept its chances strong in the competition for qualification, while the Jordanian team suffered a painful loss despite the fighting performance it presented over long periods of the match.
