Two years since the most brutal war in history… the Gaza war!

Published: October 7, 2025

Two years ago, a war broke out that changed the features of modern human history, not only because of the massive destruction it caused, but also because of the global failure and resounding moral silence it revealed. The Gaza war was not just a military confrontation, but a test of the entire human conscience… a test in which the official world failed, except for living peoples who continued to chant for justice and support the Palestinian right without hesitation.

Resilience… an indelible identity and unbreakable faith

Despite the bombing, starvation, and systematic siege, the Palestinian people in Gaza remained rooted in their land, holding on to their national identity and believing in the justice of their cause. The bombs did not shake their certainty, nor did the massacres make them lose confidence that freedom is a right that does not expire.

Amid the destruction, thousands of human stories were born that inspire the world:

Families sharing what remains of food,
Doctors working under almost impossible conditions to save lives,
Journalists documenting the truth through their lenses despite the danger,
And young men and women inventing ways to live amid the rubble.

This collective spirit embodied the highest meanings of belonging and confirmed that the occupation may destroy homes, but it cannot destroy the will and faith in the justice of the cause.

An ethical scandal in front of the world

The Gaza war was not only recorded as an unprecedented atrocity in the visible dictionary of images of destruction and bloodshed, but it also revealed a resounding ethical scandal in the history of humanity.

The international community, which has long sung the values of freedom and human rights, stood helpless before the killing machine, siege, and starvation of children, content with vague statements and cold declarations.

And despite the movements that give hope for this barbaric war to end, this cannot overlook the fact of the international institutions' failure to restrain the occupation and prevent its inhumane practices, leaving an entire people facing death and siege alone… making international silence a disgrace on the forehead of humanity and a black page in the history of the global system.

Canada’s recognition of the State of Palestine… a glimmer of justice amid the darkness

Amid this bleak scene drawn by the war on Gaza, Canada’s recognition, alongside a number of major and influential countries in international decision-making, of the State of Palestine, formed a historic step expressing a sincere bias toward justice and right. This recognition was not merely a diplomatic procedure, but a clear declaration that the world cannot continue to ignore the suffering of a people living under occupation, and that the Palestinian right does not expire.

This step received wide welcome from free peoples around the world and was considered an important shift in the international stance, breaking the barrier of silence that long overshadowed Western capitals.

Within Canada, this shift was manifested in overwhelming popular support for the recognition decision, as opinion polls showed great approval for this brave and noble step, expressing without a doubt an increasing popular awareness that justice is indivisible, and that the Palestinian cause is not a local matter, but a global humanitarian issue that touches the conscience of every free person.

After two years… the story is not over

Today, two years after the outbreak of this barbaric war, the most atrocious in modern history, which targeted stone, trees, and people, the destruction still stands, and the wound remains open, yet the Palestinian spirit has become more convinced of the justice of the cause and stronger than ever, with a firm stance in holding on to the land and rejecting all forms of forced migration.

The steadfastness of the people there, their deep attachment to their national identity, and their firm belief in the justice of their cause have made this war a landmark in history, shaking the earth and stirring living consciences; not only by revealing painful truths but by establishing eternal national and human meanings that do not die, meanings that not only call for an end to this barbaric war but scream from the depths of the soul demanding freedom for Palestine and its living people, the people who deserve to live in a free and independent homeland.

Everyone looks forward to the moment this crazy war stops; the Gaza war will remain a witness to the atrocity of the occupation, the resilience of an unbreakable people, and a moral test in which the official world failed and the peoples succeeded.

The Palestinian identity will remain alive as long as there are those who believe that justice does not expire, and that freedom is not granted but seized through will and resilience.
