The deadline to renew the Canadian dental plan ends on June 1st

Renewal includes current beneficiaries of the program, as coverage is not automatically extended; members must confirm their eligibility again for the following year.

Current coverage ends on June 30 for those who do not complete the renewal procedures on time, meaning that any dental services received after coverage ends may not be supported.

The plan requires continued eligibility criteria, including not having private dental insurance, submitting the required tax declaration, and having an adjusted family income of less than $90,000 annually.

Beneficiaries can complete the renewal process electronically via the "My Service Canada" account, or by phone, ensuring that personal and tax information is updated before the deadline.

The plan targets Canadians not covered by private dental insurance and provides support for costs of services such as check-ups, cleaning, fillings, and some basic treatments, depending on income level and type of service.

The government warns that delays in renewal may lead to a temporary interruption in coverage, and services performed during the period of ineligibility or before reactivating the subscription will not be compensated.

This deadline comes at a time when many families, seniors, and low-income individuals rely on the program to reduce the cost of oral and dental health care.
