Egypt condemned the attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, and Jordan, affirming its full solidarity with the four countries and rejecting any aggression that affects their sovereignty or security.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the attacks on the territories and facilities of these countries represent an unacceptable violation of their sovereignty and a direct threat to their security and territorial integrity, warning that their continuation would expand the circle of tension and increase instability in the region.
Cairo confirmed its complete rejection of any acts targeting the security of Arab countries or endangering their peoples and facilities, stressing its support for Kuwait, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, and Jordan in facing all threats to their security and stability.
Egypt called for the immediate cessation of the attacks, adherence to the provisions of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and efforts to contain the escalation and prevent the region from sliding into further tensions that threaten regional security and peace.
The Egyptian condemnation comes amid escalating regional tensions following a series of attacks targeting several Arab countries and vital facilities within them, which those countries attributed to Iran or armed groups supported by it.
In recent days, there have been attacks by drones and missiles targeting sites and facilities inside several Gulf countries, alongside security incidents that affected navigation and vital facilities, raising fears of an expansion of the confrontation in the region.
Jordan has also announced on multiple occasions the interception of drones and missiles that entered its airspace, affirming that such incidents represent a direct threat to its national security and territorial integrity, while Gulf countries emphasized the necessity of respecting their sovereignty and rejecting any attacks targeting their security.
Egypt reiterated that the security of the Gulf countries is an integral part of Arab national security, and that respecting the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs form the basis for achieving stability, stressing the importance of prioritizing political solutions and de-escalation to avoid the widening of the crisis.
