Irish rap group “Kneecap” banned from entering Canada, according to a Member of Parliament

A Canadian MP said that the famous Irish rap group Kneecap was described as ineligible to enter Canada after accusations were made that its members display symbols promoting violence and hatred towards the Jewish community. 

According to the parliamentary official, the authorities evaluate the ban decision based on the criteria followed in hate speech cases, indicating that the group's overall performance and public statements may constitute a legal reason to prevent their entry. 

No official comment has yet been made by a government spokesperson or the Ministry of Immigration regarding this decision, and the group's own position has not yet been announced.
