Denver —
A WestJet plane canceled its takeoff from Denver International Airport after an incident on the runway while preparing to depart for the Canadian city of Calgary.

Flight number 1571 was heading from Denver to Calgary International Airport before the crew decided to stop the takeoff on the runway after a malfunction occurred during the acceleration phase.

According to initial information, witnesses and local officials reported an explosion or damage to two tires of the landing gear during takeoff, prompting the crew to implement safety procedures and stop the plane.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported among passengers or crew members, while passengers were disembarked from the plane and transported by buses to the airport terminal.

Emergency teams at the airport responded to the incident immediately, while the flight was canceled pending inspection of the plane and determination of the causes of the incident.

Details of the incident are still under review, and technical investigations are expected to determine whether the malfunction was related to the tires or other operational factors during the takeoff attempt.
